From capturing the beauty of the great outdoors to discovering all the cool little things of portraic work, your kids will be letting their creativity run wild every step of the way!
But it's not just about taking photos, oh no! We're all about hands-on learning and fun here! Your little adventurers will be getting up close and personal with their cameras, learning new skills, and bringing their imaginations to life.
And here's the best part: each day, they'll have the chance to share their favorite photos with their campmates during our Show and Tell sessions! It's a fantastic opportunity for them to showcase their talents and bond with their fellow photographers.

Laptop (doesn't need to be fancy) with ADOBE PHOTOSHOP loaded (check for free student access, If not, there's a Free 30-day Trial).

Why offer Summer Camps?

Hey there, everyone! I'm Erika Hopkins, the passionate photographer and leader of our summer camp adventure! 📸

You might be wondering, "Why offer summer camps?" Well, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I've spent nearly 10 years working with young people as a high school swim coach, helping them build confidence, teamwork skills, and a love for healthy activities. My experiences in coaching have taught me the importance of patience, understanding, and fostering a supportive environment for kids to thrive in. Plus, I'm proud to say I'm American Red Cross CPR, First Aid, and AED Certified, ensuring the safety and well-being of all our campers.

I also spent many years at sports camps in Canada, both as a camper and later as a counselor. Those experiences shaped who I am today and instilled in me a deep love for the great outdoors. Now, I want to share that love and passion with the next generation.

My hope for this summer camp is to provide a fantastic opportunity for kids to learn to appreciate nature while also honing their photography skills. Don't worry, though, the kiddos won't have to spend the whole day outside! We'll have plenty of opportunities for AC breaks to keep everyone comfortable and happy.

With over 20 years of experience behind the lens, I am beyond excited to share my knowledge and expertise with all of you. Together, we'll explore the wonders of nature and capture its beauty through our lenses. Who knows, maybe we'll even discover some future photographers among us!

But that's not all. We'll also have the chance to delve into portrait photography, capturing the unique personalities of each camper as they learn the ins and outs of different settings and techniques.

So, get ready for an unforgettable journey filled with creativity, learning, and plenty of fun! I can't wait to meet each and every one of you and embark on this adventure together. Let's make this summer one to remember! 🌟
