Portraits- Winter/Spring 2010 Weddings- Currently Booking 2010 and 2011  I have been a photographer for many years, working on location as well as in a studio environment. I decided to venture out on my own, because I want to capture those once in a lifetime moments in the calm relaxing setting of your home. With the addition of two very close family members, it has made me realize how quickly time goes by. I want to be there for your family to help slow down time and capture each precious moment in life. I want to be a part of your family from the beginning, to capture those moments prior to the birth of your baby through the many milestones of childhood. I want to help you cherish precious moments for generations to come and to make every session a one of a kind moment that is intimate and personalized for your family's needs. At a family's request, a NILMDTS Affiliated Photographer will come to your hospital or hospice location and conduct a sensitive and private portrait session. The portraits are then professionally retouched and presented to the families on an archival DVD or CD that can be used to print portraits of their cherished baby. For families overcome by grief and pain, the idea of photographing their baby may not immediately occur to them. Offering gentle and beautiful photography services in a compassionate and sensitive manner is the heart of this organization. (text provided by www.ACPCG.org )  How far in advance should I book my session? To ensure availability on your desired date, it is always wise to book as far in advance as possible. I am often booked 3-6 weeks in advance for portrait sessions, and weddings may be booked up to a year in advance. However, I sometimes have spots open, so don’t hesitate to call and ask about a last-minute session! How do we book our photography session? To book your portrait session please complete the contact form, call 321-287-8419 or email info@erikahopkinsphotography.com When should I schedule my maternity session? Right away! If you are pregnant and know that you would like a maternity session, you should reserve your session as soon as you can. While I do make every attempt to fit in last minute requests, it can be difficult to make room in my schedule to accommodate. When is the best time for the maternity session to take place? Anytime between the 34 and 36 weeks. This ensures that your baby belly will be big enough to show well in the photographs but you will not be so far along that you will be uncomfortable during the maternity session. What is the best age to photograph newborns? Within the first week or two. If possible I would say within the first day or two of being home from the hospital. Most Newborns within the first week are so unaware of what is going on, they will most likely sleep through the entire session. How do I schedule a newborn session to ensure it is within the first week? We will pre-book your newborn session based on your due date, since we never know exactly when your new little bundle will arrive. We will secure the actual date once you deliver. There is no need to worry about availability; I leave time in my schedule to accommodate new arrivals each week Where will my portrait session be held? Portrait session will be held in the comfort of your home or the outdoor location of your choice. Erika Hopkins Photography has an array of natural and urban locations to choose from. What should we wear/bring for our session? It varies depending on the type and style of your portrait session. Clothing will be discussed in more detail when speaking with us about your session. What if there is bad weather the day of our portrait session? The photography session will be postponed to later that day or will be rescheduled for the next available date. Can we bring our pets? Absolutely! Pets are part of the family and what would a family portrait be without your furry family members. How do we view our portraits? Photographs are viewable online after completing your portrait consultation. Portraits will remain in a password protected gallery for 30 days. Click on “Online Ordering” to view your portraits.
